Summer Camp Week 6: Mural Magic (4th-6th grade)
Create lifelong memories for your child! The Dalles Art Center Summer Art Camp is a week of exploration, creativity and fun. No experience is necessary. This is a supportive environment for kids entering grades 4th-6th to engage with art and make new friends.

Get ready to go big with mural art! This week, campers will learn the basics of large-scale painting, from planning and design to working collaboratively on a shared mural project downtown. Students will explore composition, color, and storytelling through visual art—and reveal their finished portion of the mural during a Student Art Show on Friday, August 8th!
Meet the Instructor:
Denae Manion is a beloved local artist, muralist, and arts educator with over a decade of experience teaching in the Columbia Gorge. Known for her vibrant style and dynamic teaching, Denae has a gift for inspiring young artists to think big and work collaboratively. Her recent mural project with students of all ages at St. Mary’s Academy is a shining example of what’s possible when kids are empowered through art. Denae is passionate about helping youth create meaningful, public-facing art that reflects their creativity and community spirit.
