Summer Art Camp Week 4: Literary Arts (1st-3rd grade)
Create lifelong memories for your child! The Dalles Art Center Summer Art Camp is a week of exploration, creativity and fun. No experience is necessary. This is a supportive environment for kids entering grades 1st-3rd to engage with art and make new friends.

About The Event
Unleash your imagination in this fun, hands-on week all about literary arts! Students entering grades 1st to 3rd will explore the ins and outs of creating and illustrating their own stories, from developing characters and plot to bringing their ideas to life through drawing and design. Through author studies, illustration techniques, and storytelling activities, students will build a story from start to finish. By the end of the week, young creators will have their own original story to share, and will showcase their work in a Student Art Show on Friday, July 24!
Meet the Instructor:
Emily Bunch is a Librarian with over 10 years experience teaching in elementary libraries. She loves exploring literature with children, and using books to spark their own creativity.
Summer Art Camp Details:
Camp runs Tuesday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM
All supplies and instruction are included in the camp fee
