About The Event
Strange and Unusual brings together the imaginative worlds of two Columbia Gorge artists whose creative practices explore what lies beneath the surface of the everyday. Through painting, mixed media, and collage, this two–artist exhibition reveals the uncanny, the whimsical, and the quietly mysterious. Each artist approaches the act of creation as a way of uncovering hidden stories and unexpected perspectives, inviting viewers to step into artworks that challenge the familiar and celebrate the unknown.
About the Artists
Cleo Sterling
Cleo Sterling is an oil painter based in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge. With the exception of a few beginning classes in pastels and watercolors, she is self-taught, finding the most enjoyment in experimenting with and exploring the medium of oil. Her painting technique and style developed over the years through trial and error, with many interesting discoveries occurring simply by accident.
