Poetry Open Mic: Reminiscence

Experience an evening of poetry, community, and creative expression at TDAC’s November Poetry Open Mic Night.

Inspired by our current exhibition, The Student Art Show, this gathering invites writers of all ages and experience levels to share work that represents Reminiscence and the Passing of Time.

We embrace all performance styles, including spoken word, storytelling, traditional poetry readings, and more. Poets are welcome to read several pieces, depending on poem length and the number of participants. Audience members will be encouraged to perfrom as well (but this is by no means necessary).

This promises to be an evening focused on celebrating the power of language and the stories held within. We will begin with a breakout session where you will be encouraged to write a small piece of your own, so please bring a pen and paper if that's something you'd be interested in doing!

Participation, whether as a poet…
