Kids Mixed Media: Native Birds & Treasure Boxes
A Creative Workshop with Artist Jordan Kim
What do you have in common with a great horned owl? How about a quail, a bald eagle, or even a turkey vulture? Join mixed media collage artist Jordan Kim for a creative exploration of the native birds who share our home in the Columbia River Gorge!
Together, we'll discover what makes each bird special, learn about what matters to them, and explore the values we might share. Using mixed media collage, sculptural techniques, oil pastels, and a little imagination, young artists will create their own unique bird sculptures. But there's a surprise! Hidden beneath each bird's wing is a secret little "heart box"—a special place to tuck away small treasures and things that are meaningful to you.
This workshop is all about creative play, self-expression, and making connections in a fun and supportive group…
