About The Event
Fold, bend, crease! This class teaches an introduction to the art of paper folding. Young crafters will work to create festive decorations for the holidays. Origami and kirigami are unique, traditional Japanese art forms that can transform a humble sheet of paper into an amazing piece of art. In this workshop we will learn how to turn flat pieces of paper into one of a kind, colorful holiday ornaments.Some of the models we will learn are crane, tree, star and even a cool box you can put your finished ornaments in. After we have made our origami models we will have time to decorate them so they are ready for gifting.
Ami Beaver is a gifted artist with experience teaching papermaking, bookbinding and leading popular TDAC Summer Camp sessions. Kids and adults love Ami's excitement for teaching and her helpful guidance.
