Kids Ceramics Class with Exhibiting Artist Alex Quezada

Let your child explore the joy of working with clay in this fun and creative ceramics class led by Latinx artist Alex Quezada! Perfect for beginners, this two-hour, hands-on class introduces kids to basic ceramic techniques. Each participant will get to choose between hand-building or using the pottery wheel to create a small piece like a bowl, cup, or planter.

We’ll start with introductions and a group chat about what each child wants to make. Then Alex will give a live demo before kids get to dive in and shape their own creations.

Due to time constraints, glazing will be completed by our staff after class. Kids will choose their glaze color before leaving. Finished pieces will be kiln-fired and ready for pickup two weeks after class.
