Introduction to Ice Dying

Learn this fascinating technique for easy surface decoration for fabric with Teresa Hepker and Louise Sargent of Two Foxes Studios

Ice dyeing creates random patterns on plain fabric using permanent cold water dyes. Students will each bring a garment to dye. Instructors will provide all other equipment and materials. The process takes two days so the dye will have maximum time to spread and fix to the fabric. Please make sure that your garment or other fabric item is 100% cotton or linen, and thoroughly prewashed in machine with detergent or by hand with Dawn dishwashing liquid. Hot water is best.
