About The Event

Make a Gift: Japanese Bookbinding Trio

Japanese Binding or Japanese Stab Binding is a historical form of side stitch binding. In these methods, the bindings are secured through the front and back covers rather than along the spine. You will learn how to sew three different styles of Japanese bindings. These make great sketchbooks, journals or albums and are perfect for gifting! By the end of this class, you will have three completed books and the confidence you need to make more at home.

Ami Beaver is a talented artist and accomplished teacher who has taught classes in papermaking, bookbinding, drawing, painting and more. Ami is a wonderful teacher who is known for the joy she brings to teaching and helping students be successful in their projects.
