Havana Nights Auction Raffle

Durring our annual auction we will be raffling off an original rubbing by the late Jeanne Hillis, a local artist and preservationist. Jeanne spent over a decade traveling and documenting sites within the Columbia Gorge, often with her children in tow, before The Dalles Dam submerged many of the sites that were once visible. This rubbing this petroglyph captures is between 1500 - 5000 years old.

This framed rubbing of a petroglyph from an unknown location is among five original rubbings donated to The Dalles Art Center by her daughter, Diane Hillis. The piece is titled Healing Hand – Figure With Power Rays by Hillis and is an oil surface print on fabric (rubbing). The rubbing measures 17" x 12".
