About The Event
A cuff is a wide bracelet. In this class we will make a couple of them using a variety of wet felting techniques. These will be unique accessorie for yourself or as a gift for a lucky friend. This is a good introduction for the beginning felter with enough information to further your skills if you have already tried your hand in this ancient fiber medium.
Fee for class includes all materials and instruction needed to make a felt bracelet.
Student should bring snacks or lunch, beverages and an old towel (a towel that is ok to get dirty).
Nancy Skakel, Soft Heart Creations, has been working with fiber for several decades. She began needle felting 20 years ago and soon branched into wet felting. She has had the honor to work with several world renown fiber artists, learning not only techniques but also teaching methods. Her needle felted sculptures have won awards and her wet and nuno felted garments and accessories have been very well received. She has taught felting classes at fiber festivals around the northwest, at The Dalles Art Center, and at Maryhill Museum. She enjoys teaching and sharing the pleasure in working with fiber and the magic of wool.
