Basics of Plein Air Watercolor Painting

Come and see a variety of plein air painting set ups for watercolor painting ranging from using an easel to painting one-handed with a sketchbook. Bring your own supplies to figure out what would work best when outside in the elements. Learn how to be prepared for an outside painting experience by learning helpful tips from painting, such as learning the importance of composition and value studies, to being personally prepared for the weather. Participants will bring home a booklet of how to simplify what you see to create a compelling painting while using composition and values, with room for notes and field sketches.
