This is an exciting new role for The Dalles Art Center! Come help us build a vibrant community arts center. The Deputy Director will play a critical role overseeing operations and sales at the center. The Deputy Director role is the backbone of the organization managing timelines, calendars, communication and budgets for exhibits, sales of local artists’ work in the gallery shop, maintains online systems including databases and commission sales systems and ensures that the basic office and building equipment and tools are maintained. This versatile position is best served by an ability to track multiple projects and deadlines at the same time, use online communication, tools and platforms to organize and share information with internal contacts, and interact with visitors and local artists daily.  A background in retail sales and management is desired.
