Get together to enjoy live performances by musicians and storytellers
The Dalles Art Center has hosted live performances in the exhibition gallery to bring all the arts together for a unique experience. Our gallery space has been transformed to host duets like RONA or large ensembles like Europotopia. We also host other performances by storytellers and other performative artists.
Haunting Stories, Poems, Songs and Lore in Celebration of Samhain (Halloween) and the Day of the Dead. Join master storyteller Will Hornyak in a wild and harrowing romp through Mexican folktales, Irish legends and Greek myths in a performance for mature audiences, ages 14 and older. If you have young ones, The Dalles Library will host Bonechillers that will give them a tinge of the spooky at 3pm.
Will Hornyak weaves together a wide web of oral traditions into the engaging and well crafted performances. A nationally touring storyteller Will has performed at festivals throughout the United States. An Oregon favorite, he has performed as a full-time professional storyteller since 1994.
“Storyteller par excellence…endless wit, boundless enthusiasm…transports audiences young and old into a timeless realm of imagination.”

TDAC is proud to collaborate with Rian Beach and Jackalope Jamboree to produce 4th on Fourth, a monthly concert every fourth Friday of the month from April to September on 4th Street between Court and Washington Street. We wanted a free event that would bring the community together and provide local businesses and non-profit organizations an opportunity to fundraise and increase revenues. The show is funded by our proud sponsors and in-kind donations of our community members.
